Gas City Campground opening Friday, ahead of schedule

Medicine Hat’s Gas City Campground is opening this Friday.

The annual launch is ahead of schedule after construction on its water services and the installation of irrigation system enhancements was expected to push it back until the end of May.

While campsite registration opened up in February, people can register for the May 17-30 period as of 10 a.m. on Tuesday by phone, email or online.

Reservations can be made by calling 403-529-8157, emailing Campground@MedicineHat.ca or by visiting MedicineHat.ca/Camping.

City officials on Monday thanked everyone involved for their commitment to ensuring the campground was prepared ahead of schedule.
