After enjoying your brunch and celebrating some of the art that Benson’s mother left for the store, saunter down to the Fruitful Specialty Shop.

Owner Joelle Scherer says that they’ve been working around the clock to fulfill orders and may have to put a cap on orders by mid-Saturday.

“We are swamped. We are still taking orders, we may have to put a cap on it Saturday, but we’re hoping to get them all in,” Scherer said.

“We have cooler treats, chocolate dip pretzels, dipped licorice, dipped Oreo’s and beautiful fruit bouquets,” she added.

Bev Giroux helps in the shop and says that the pieces need to look a certain way for mothers, otherwise they don’t leave the store. Her reward is the community response.

“Seeing the reactions and getting phone calls from people thanking us and telling us it looks and tastes so good is so awesome. I wish everyone a happy Mother’s Day,” Giroux said.

After grabbing a snack for the road, finalize the day by treating your mom to a spa date.

Eryn Minifie with Pamper My Senses believes that spa’s are a seldom used way to spoil your mom, but can be very effective.

“My mother is a huge part of my life, and I would just love to get her a couple hours to chill in the spa,” Minifie said.

“We did recently just release our Spring Into Summer promotion where you can get a manicure, pedicure and facial all for just $125. It’s a great way to get your mom, a couple hours away from the kids, let her relax and just take a breather,” she said.
