A 52-year-old man with no fixed address has been arrested in connection with the business and vehicles that were hit by vandalism in Medicine Hat’s south end earlier this week.

Police said Friday the suspect was charged with four counts of mischief over $5,000, seven counts of mischief under $5,000 and one count of causing a false fire alarm.

The man was remanded into custody and scheduled to appear in Calgary Court of Justice on Friday.

Seven businesses, several vehicles and a telephone box were damaged in the late hours of Tuesday or early hours of Wednesday.
