Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the eastern half of Southern Alberta, including the Medicine Hat area.
The warning has also been expanded to include Maple Creek, Cypress Hills, Shaunavon and Val Marie regions of Saskatchewan.
Heavy rain is expected tonight and tomorrow.
Rain will begin this afternoon and continue through tomorrow night.
Rainfall amounts of between 50 and 70 mm are likely, with as much as 80 mm possible in some locations.
Rain will taper off on Wednesday.
