Rain persisting until Wednesday, warm weather returns Sunday

There will be some precipitation in the form of rain Tuesday that could turn to snow by Wednesday before temperatures rise by next week, according to Environment Canada forecasts.

Five to 10 millimetres of rain and five centimetres of snow is expected Tuesday night and two centimetres on Wednesday, along with temperatures hovering around a high of 0 C for most of the week until Friday.

A Special Weather Statement was in effect Monday but ended the same day.

Warmer weather returns by next week with temperatures hitting highs of 15 C by Monday, according to Environment Canada data.
