Medicine Hat Tigers playoff tickets went on sale to the general public Monday at noon.

A steady flow of fans were buying up seats for games one and two of the first round this Friday and Saturday night.

The Tigers finished fourth in the Eastern Conference and are set to face-off against the fifth-place Red Deer Rebels in a best of seven series.

Long time Tigers supporter Robert Moston was waiting in line Monday to buy tickets.

Moston said he has only missed about six games in the Tigers’ 54 years of gameplay and is ready for the series.

“I think it’s a lot of excitement. It’s about time,” Moston said.

“It’s something to do, it’s fun and people are spending their money and we are having fun in life,” he added.

“You only live once.”

Moston had dropped his season tickets last season, but is looking to get them again next season.

“I just love hockey. I played 50 years of hockey myself,” Moston said.

When asked about how his ticket buying went, Moston said he was happy to see them start selling to the public even a little earlier than noon.

“It was kind of a surprise, but it’s nice and thing seem to be flowing along pretty good,” Moston told CHAT News.

Tickets for the lower bowl of Co-op Place were already over half sold for the first two games of the series by early Monday afternoon.

When asked about how the series might go, Moston had a positive outlook.

“Think positive, lets just play the best we can and it will probably come out a win,” Moston said.

“We will see what happens. It’s sports, you never know, you just do your best.”

When asked what he wanted to add, Moston offered this response: “Go Tigers Go!”
