History records the use of guide dogs dating back as far as the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D.

But it wasn’t until after World War One that real effort was put into training guide dogs to help veterans blinded in combat.

Our Town explores the story of a Medicine Hat man whose guide dog helped him run a kiosk selling tobacco and cigarettes.
