Cardston-Warner-Medicine Hat MP recalls legacy of Brian Mulroney

Cardston – Warner – Medicine Hat MP Glen Motz says Brian Mulroney will be remembered for winning the largest majority government in Canadian history.

Although he only met the former prime minister once, Motz says colleagues he’s spoken with talk about his kindness and concern for other people.

“They speak of his concern for others, that was something that was very real for him,” says Motz.

Motz says Mulroney wasn’t always like by everyone and his policies were controversial, but he worked through those issues.

Prime Minster Justin Trudeau says the government is working with the Mulroney family closely so that all of their wishes are respected.

M-Ps will rise in Parliament on March 18th to offer their tributes to Mulroney.
