A new year means new things to do at the library.

BUSY BEES PLAYGROUP

Jan. 6, 10:30 a.m.

An hour of fun and socialization for kids ages 1-3 years that will focus on age appropriate loose parts play, which allows kids to move, combine, rearrange, and tinker with fun toys, which will be provided.

BANFF CENTRE MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL WORLD TOUR

Jan. 7-9, 7 p.m.

Presented in partnership with the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre, the festival features three unique screenings of adventure films in the Esplanade Main Theatre.

HEALTHY EATING ON A BUDGET

Jan. 17, 6:30 p.m.

Feeling the pinch of high grocery prices and wanting feeding your family to be more affordable?

RECONNECTING TO PLAY

Jan. 18, 6 p.m.

When we play, we create community, increase connection, build healthier relationships, improve our creativity and even boost our immune systems.

Play is a restorative practice and a fun and free way to support our mental wellness. Come learn a little about the science behind play, meet new people, enjoy some snacks, and most importantly, PLAY!

Are you a junior or senior high school student looking for a quiet place to study?

Our teen space, The Honeycomb House, will be open for quiet study from when the library opens to 30 minutes before closing.

Free snacks and refreshments will be provided by CCT and the Safeway Community Action Fund to keep you fueled.
