Damage estimated at $10K in early morning structure fire in Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat fire fighters were called to a fire in the back yard of a home on Saamis Meadows Lane this morning.

It was in the patio area of the home, which is in the zero hundred block of Saamis Meadows Lane Southwest.

The call came in just before 4 a.m. Thursday morning.

Firefighters were able to knock down the fire in minutes but damage is estimated at $10,000, according to a statement from the fire service.

No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
