Jazz head coach Hardy dons Canada jacket to settle bet ahead of game with Raptors

TORONTO — Jazz head coach Will Hardy wore a bright red Team Canada jacket to his pre-game media conference hours before Utah played the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.

Hardy says the fashion statement was him paying off a wager to Jazz assistant coach Scott Morrison.

The two coaches had a friendly bet on the bronze-medal game at the FIBA World Cup this past summer.

Canada beat the United States 127-118 on Sept. 10 to claim third at the international men’s basketball tournament.
