WILD 94.5’s Jesse Christianson to unleash a radio rumble in his wrestling comeback

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Rumble to Remember Tour, with some of Canada’s wrestling elite, is coming to Medicine Hat Friday night. Among those competing is WILD 94.5’s very own Jesse Christianson, returning to the ring after a two year hiatus.

“I’m afraid of being the first one out, I don’t think anyone really wants to be the first one out when you’re in something like that,” Christianson said.

“I’ve got a little bit of a strategy, I’m gonna stay low ’cause I don’t want to be tossed over the top, but yeah, I think I’ve talked a big game and I’ve trained a lot for this.”

Christianson will be part of a battle royal, where 15 wrestlers are in the ring, trying to throw each other out.

Christianson wrestled a lot in his 20s, before turning to reffing and ring announcing. However, recently while announcing a match, another wrestler hit him in the back with a chair. So now, he is heading back to the ring with vengeance.

“The adrenaline kicks in and you don’t really feel that a guy that’s 250 pounds just punched you in the face because the crowd is like chanting your name. You’ll feel it afterwards,” Christianson jokes.

“When I did the tag match, I had my daughter there and I thought that was really cool. She had a sign that said, ‘Jesse is my daddy’ and that’s so cool, ’cause we watch that on TV every week, but now she gets to see her dad actually do that.”

Christianson doesn’t rule out the idea of doing more matches in the future.
