‘Fight for your interests’: Premier says she’s got the agriculture sector’s back

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Premier Danielle Smith told those at an agricultural conference in Medicine Hat on Wednesday she had their back.

Smith added she would fight the federal government on behalf of agriculture workers in a pre-recorded address to the 2023 Agricultural Connections Conference.

“As your premier, I will always defend the incredible work of our agricultural community and fight for your interests,” Smith said.

“That includes standing up against Ottawa’s ideas to limit fertilizer usage and push unaffordable electricity onto our producers.”
