Legion hosts Remembrance Day in Redcliff

REDCLIFF, AB – The 2023 Remembrance Day ceremony in Redcliff is being organized by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch Six.

A form up will take place outside the Legion at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday before a procession marches to Parkside Jr. High School for a ceremony that starts at 10 a.m., organizers said.

After the ceremony inside the school, the procession will march back to the cenotaph where the laying of the wreaths will take place at 11 a.m.

The procession then heads back to the Legion for a time of fellowship with beverages and snacks.

The general public is welcome at all activities including the legion after the ceremony at the cenotaph. Organizers have asked the general public remain outside until the veterans from the ceremonies enter the legion building and find a seat.
