A drop-in opportunity for you to check out the Co-op Community Developmental Playspace in the Children’s Library, play with dino bones in the Story Castle, discover your inner builder with Big Blue Blocks in the Honor Currie Room or LEGO in the Legion Room, or enjoy a family-friendly film in the Library Theatre.

2. Hunger Games Film Week

Nov. 13-16, 2 p.m. on Nov. 13, 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 14-16

Head to the Library Theatre to watch all four movies in the popular Hunger Games series.

3. Friends of the Medicine Hat Public Library Society Book Sale

Nov. 17 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Nov. 18 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Thousands of gently-used books will be available along with some DVDs and CDs. Stock up on your winter reading, watching and listening needs.

4. Barbie Night

Nov. 24, 6:45 p.m.

For ages 13-19 years, TIC TAC invites you to Barbieland at the Library. Dress as your best Barbie, Ken or Allan for the costume contest, plus there will be crafts, movies and a photo op in a life-size Barbie box. Doors open 6:45-7:15 p.m. only.

5. Meet and Greet Local Authors

Nov. 25

Local authors will gather to talk about their published work and writing journeys and will have books available for purchase. The childrens books session starts at 10 a.m. followed by the adult books session at 2 p.m.
