First place Tigers beat Oil Kings in Edmonton

MEDICINE HAT — 3 games in 3 nights is never an easy assignment, but the Medicine Hat Tigers captured 5 out of a possible 6 points from their weekend schedule.

They put a cap on the weekend with a 5-1 win over the Oil Kings in Edmonton.

They built a 4-0 lead in cruising to their second straight victory, following a 4-1 win over Everett on Saturday at Coop Place.

The only blemish on the weekend record was a 4-3 overtime loss to the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday.

The Tigers hold a 4 point lead over Lethbridge for first place in the Central Division of the WHL.
