VANCOUVER, B.C. — Oasiz Wiesblatt’s first goal of the regular season was a big one.

His goal at 2:36 of overtime propelled the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 3-2 victory over the Giants in Vancouver.

Brayden Boehm with his 4th of the year and Tomas Mrsic’s 3rd of the season were the other Tiger scorers.

Special teams helped the Tigers to the win, as they scored while short-handed and also on the power play.

Vancouver was 0 for 2 with the man advantage.

The win is the second in three tries for the Tigers in their swing through the B.C. division.

They will visit Kamloops on Friday and wrap up the trip in Prince George on Sunday.

In other games featuring Eastern Conference teams, Lethbridge needed overtime to defeat the Calgary Hitmen 3-2.

Kelowna doubled the visiting Swift Current Broncos 6-3.

The CHL leading Portland Winter Hawks pounded the Brandon Wheat Kings 11-1.
