Fire crews prevent deck fire from spreading inside south east home

MEDICINE HAT — Quick work by members of the Medicine Hat Fire Service prevented a small fire from becoming much worse.
Crews were called to a home in the 100 block of Second Avenue S.E. around 9 pm, where they found the deck was on fire.
Efforts by the fire fighters kept the fire from spreading to the interior of the home, and no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is being investigated although it is not considered to be suspicious.
