Chili Cook-Off will bring the heat downtown once again

MEDICINE HAT, AB – What was once a July tradition in Medicine Hat is returning this year and is only 10 days away.

The Downtown Chili Cook-Off is back on July 15.

According to the Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce bowl sales will start at 11 a.m. and tastings begin at 11:30 a.m. Tasting bowls will be $5 for chili and salsa.

At 2:30 p.m. there will be a watermelon eating contest and a hot pepper eating contest. Chili Cook-Off awards will follow at 3:30 p.m.

The chamber’s event page says more details and times are to come. The event is being hosted in partnership with the Medicine Hat Downtown Collective.
