Prospect Drive road closure begins July 4

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Prospect Drive between Chinook Drive SW and Sixth Avenue SW will be closed starting on July 4 to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Construction will begin on the Prospect Drive Rehabilitation Project on Tuesday.

The project will consist of asphalt surface removal, upgrades to the storm system, sanitary sewer spot repairs, road upgrades, replacement of concrete on curbs, gutters and sidewalks, and a final paving.

The city asks people to follow the detour signs and posted speed limits until the project is completed. The city did not indicate how long the closure will last.
