For the past few weeks Nicole Frey and the Animal Food Bank have been doing their best to make sure the animals displaced from their homes during the wildfires in central and northern Alberta are getting food.

Frey, the founder of the Animal Food Bank, says they received enough food for about 80,000 meals.

Frey joined Dan Reynish on CHAT News at Noon to talk about how and why she started the group, the generosity of the community and trying to build up their inventory for what they expect to be a busy summer when the need will be greater than ever.
