MEDICINE HAT, AB – The family-friendly and free Spectrum Festival is back to kick off the summer this weekend in Kin Coulee Park.

There will be local talent and culture with artists, bands, artisans, vendors, almost a dozen food trucks and an evening beer garden.

Confirmed bands include Nice Horse, Dead Levee, Rooks, and several others and wrestling by Pure Power Wrestling from Lethbridge is also back this year.

Drew Langworthy is the organizer of Spectrum and he encourages everyone to come down to the park.

“It’s going to open you up to a lot of the different vendors and small retail shops in Medicine Hat that you might not have noticed because they might be tucked away in kind of nice neat little hidden locations and stuff like that,” he says. “So it gives you an advantage to come like that and then you can interact with 8,000-plus other Medicine Hat residents that are going to be coming out and enjoying the event.”

Spectrum runs from 4 p.m-1 a.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Sunday.
