Wind warning in place as system moves through Alberta tonight

MEDICINE HAT — A wind warning is in place for a good part of Alberta.

Environment Canada has issued the warnings that stretch from Edmonton southeast to the Cypress Hills.

Wind gusts of 75 to 90 km/h will develop late this evening over areas south of Edmonton.

Strong winds will move southeastward across the province through the night then diminish Thursday morning.

Rain showers will accompany these winds.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur.

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
