New garbage provider rolling out to Suffield and Desert Blume

CYPRESS COUNTY, AB – The residents of Suffield and Desert Blume will notice a bright green truck passing through their hamlet due to a new garbage collection service that is underway.

But with it, comes a few changes – including some restrictions and new additions to what can be disposed of.

“It’s looking promising and there will be springtime roll-out bins for waste collection of the yard – yard work materials, so that will be done at different times of years; it’s, you know, another level of service,” said Ken Jacobs, the Director of Public Works at Cypress County.

Jacobs says what can and cannot be disposed of, will be detailed on a letter inside the lid of the containers. Residents are to keep an eye for the letter when receiving their new bins.
