More honours for MacKenzie Porter

Medicine Hat’s MacKenzie Porter continues to pile up the accolades.

Last Sunday, Porter was at the Country Music Television Awards nominated for best female breakthough video of the year for Pickup.

When the nomination was announced, Porter said on Twitter “Freaking out cuz this is my first solo nomination. After Sunday she said “You win some you lose some…. But honestly always winning.”

Megan Moroney ended up winning for her video Tennessee Orange.

In the past couple of years Porter has seen her duet Thinking ‘Bout You with Dustin Lynch spend six weeks at No. 1, sang on the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage and been nominated as entertainer of the year at the Canadian Country Music Association awards.
