Cubs on brink of elimination heading into Game 4

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Cubs are one loss away from elimination after dropping their first three games to the Okotoks Carstar Bisons.

Medicine Hat will have their backs up against the wall every game going forward, as they find themselves in the same position as last year.

In last year’s South Division Finals they fell down 3-0 in the series before ultimately being eliminated in five games.

They’ll hope to make a monumental comeback in the series, however, it’s one game at a time as they’ve got their work cut out for them.

Through three games, the Okotoks has outscored Medicine Hat 15-5 with the Cubs scoring no more than three goals in a game.

“You’ve got to hope that guys will kind of gel or find a way,” said Cubs head coach and GM, Randy Wong after the Game 3 loss on Sunday.

“We talked about plying for pride, playing for yourself, [playing for your mom and dad, whatever it takes that gets you motivated.”

Game 4 is Tuesday night at Kinplex in Medicine Hat with the puck dropping at 8:15 p.m.
