Saskatchewan ready for $10-a-day child care in April
Saskatchewan is to achieve $10-a-day child care by April 1, three years ahead of schedule for the federal Liberal government’s national plan.
Education Minister Dustin Duncan says affordable and high-quality child care provides children with a positive start in life while also giving parents the flexibility to build both a family and career.
Parents whose children are under the age of six and attend regulated child care on a full-time basis can expect to pay $217.50 per month.
Karina Gould, the federal families minister, says that by working together, Canada and Saskatchewan were able to achieve their goals early.
