MEDICINE HAT, AB – Oasiz Wiesblatt led the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 4-2 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes in another instalment of the Highway 3 rivalry at Co-op Place Saturday night.

Wiesblatt scored the game-winner early in the second period, deflecting a shot from the point past Lethbridge goaltender Harrison Meneghin, in front of 2,276 fans in Medicine Hat.

With the victory, Medicine Hat advanced to 20-21-7-1, while the Lethbridge falls to 22-21-1-1. The Tigers remain in ninth in the Eastern conference, one point out of a playoff spot, with the Hurricanes staying in fifth.

Lethbridge scored a pair of power play goals in the first period, Logan McCutcheon netted his second goal of the season and Tyson Laventure scored his 17th to give the Hurricanes a 2-0 lead.

After jumping out to a two goal lead in the opening frame with a pair of goals scored 3:36 apart, Lethbridge quickly allowed two goals in the closing 4:36 of the period.
