MEDICINE HAT, AB – Much of the talk about Sunday’s Medicine Hat Tigers game centres on Connor Bedard, but he’s not the only teen phenom that will be on the ice.

The Tigers announced late Wednesday afternoon that Gavin McKenna has been recalled for the weekend.

The 2007-born McKenna was picked first overall by the Tigers in last year’s Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. McKenna has registered 69 points in 24 games this year with the Southern Alberta Hockey Academy under-18 prep team, and six points in nine games with the Tigers.

The Tigers say he will suit up in both games this weekend, Saturday against Lethbridge and Sunday against Regina.
