Milk River Emergency Department to temporarily close
MILK RIVER, AB – Alberta Health Services has confirmed a temporary closure of the emergency department at the Milk River Health Centre.
The department closed at 8 a.m. on Thursday and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday to provide 24-hour service, seven days a week.
AHS noted that during the temporary closure, nursing staff will remain on-site to provide care for long-term care residents. Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency.
EMS calls will be re-routed to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge or the Raymond Health Centre. Patients seeking care can access emergency services at the Raymond Health Centre and Chinook Regional Hospital.
