Pregame: Tigers host Hitmen, Broncos this weekend
MEDICINE HAT, AB – After two wins in two days already this week, the Medicine Hat Tigers will look to repeat the feat this weekend.
The Tigers play at Co-op Place on Saturday and Sunday, hosting the Calgary Hitmen and the Swift Current Broncos, a game rescheduled from Dec. 28 when poor weather and travel conditions kept the team in Saskatchewan.
The Tigers (16-21-5-1) have picked up one win in three games against the Hitmen (22-14-3-1) this season. Brendan Lee scored the game-winner late in the third period the last time the teams met on Dec. 2, and Reid Andresen scored one goal and added two assists.
Sunday when the Tigers host the Broncos (20-17-0-2) it will be the second time they’ve met in five days. Brayden Boehm won it for the Tigers in the sixth round of the shootout in Swift Current.
