Up to 4,000 construction job vacancies in southern Alberta, says Calgary Construction Association

An association that represents construction companies is sounding the alarm about job vacancies in southern Alberta.

The Calgary Construction Association says commercial and residential builders are struggling to find enough workers.

It estimates there are 3,000 to 4,000 construction job vacancies in the region.

The association says companies are going overseas to recruit workers for the upcoming spring construction season.
