‘Be Kind’ benches to be donated to every elementary school in Medicine Hat

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A locally based national playground manufacturer is spreading kindness in our city.

Blue IMP is donating 20 “Be Kind” benches to local schools, one for every elementary school in the city.

Blue Imp will manufacture the benches and personally deliver them to each Medicine Hat school ahead of national Pink Shirt Day (Anti-Bullying Day) in February.

The company designed the “Be Kind Bench” especially for this anti-bullying initiative. The bench features heart-shaped support legs with the words “Be Kind” laser-cut into the seat. The portable, powder-coated steel bench is intended for indoor use and can be placed wherever schools feel is appropriate.

“Our goal is to support local schools in their efforts to counteract bullying and remind students to be kind to each other,” explains Blue Imp general manager Michael Rasmussen.
