EDMONTON, AB – There are just a few days left to tell the Government of Alberta what should be included in the next provincial budget.

An online survey is available that asks Albertans what the government’s fiscal priorities should be.

That includes several areas such as how it should prioritize spending on the healthcare system, how to address affordability, and fiscal policies and programs that would help to grow the economy and create jobs.

The most recent fiscal update, released on November 24, 2022, shows the province had maintained a budget surplus of $12.3 billion.

A writeup on the government’s website states that the survey should be take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Alternatively, written submissions can be sent in by chambers of commerce, industry associations, community organizations, municipalities, and other groups.

The survey can be completed online on the Alberta Government’s website, while written submission can be sent in here. The last day in which the survey can be completed is Sunday, January 15, 2023.
