Human remains found inside residence following fire in Brooks

Medicine Hat, AB-Brooks RCMP say human remains were located following a fire early Thursday morning.

RCMP were called out around 3 a.m. to a residence. Three people were able to get out safely. However, once the fire was extinguished, human remains were located inside.

RCMP believe the remains are that of a 62-year-old man. An autopsy is being done and the cause of the fire is not considered suspicious.

No further updates are anticipated.
