South Alberta Hockey Academy off to hot start at Circle K Classic
CALGARY – The South Alberta Hockey Academy was the final winner of the Mac’s U18AAA tournament last year. Two games into the renamed Circle K Classic, SAHA looks like a good bet to repeat.
SAHA sits atop its pool after wins over the Saskatoon Blazers on Tuesday and the Calgary Northstars on Wednesday.
Captain Elias Eisenbarth notched a hat trick in the opening game, leading SAHA to a 4-2 win. Medicine Hat Tigers’ top prospect Gavin McKenna scored the other goal and picked up one assist.
McKenna found the scoresheet even more in Wednesday’s game, with three helpers. Matthew Paranych also had a three-point game on one goal and two assists.
