Rattlers Roundup: Women’s volleyball team splits home weekend

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat College Rattlers women’s volleyball team and men’s basketball team each found the win column this weekend.

Playing with homecourt advantage, the women’s volleyball team won three sets to none over the NAIT Ooks to start the weekend’s action on Friday evening. On Saturday, the team fell by the same three sets to zero score to the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves.

In men’s action, the guys fell three sets to zero to NAIT on Friday before falling to the Wolves three sets to one on Saturday.

The basketball teams were on the road for two games each.

The men’s team capped off the weekend with an 87-81 win over the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves. That followed a 58-51 loss by the women’s team to the Wolves.

Both teams took the loss on Friday in Edmonton, 84-80 for the men and 71-44 for the women.

A little closer to home the Rattlers women’s hockey team fell to the Calgary Fire 5-1 in exhibition action.
