Country Mouse Farm offering U-Cut experience this holiday season

CYPRESS COUNTY, AB – Country Mouse Farm is offering a U-Cut experience for their Christmas trees, this holiday season.

The experience will include hot chocolate, a wagon ride, gingerbread cookies, and a designated staff member to help you get your tree. To commemorate your time at the farm, their will also be an opportunity to get a picture with the tree you pick out.

Gerald Bodnaruk and his wife Erika own Country Mouse Farm, and say this is the 6th year they have offered this opportunity.

He says they started this experience with the hopes of creating a new holiday tradition for families.

“We have had families come out every year, and the people that didn’t make it out the first year have been here every year since. They wouldn’t start their Christmas season any other way than on our farm.”

He also mentioned this is not only a business, but a rewarding experience for him and his wife.

“For us the U-Cut experience gives back to us at Christmas because of the families that come out, and the experience that they have. We see a lot of happiness out in the field. We have kids making snow angels, running around having snow ball fights and it’s just a great family experience.”

Their are different tree options available like Scots Pine, White Spruce, Colorado Spruce and Meyer’s Spruce. Each tree is shaped to look the part, but not sheared as Bodnaruk says they enjoy the natural look more.

The opportunity to take part in U-Cut will be on Dec. 3-4, and 10-11. If not able to make any of those dates you are able to book an appointment to get a tree on their website.
