Nov 11, 2022 | 3:47 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers are back in action Friday night at 7:00 p.m. against the Moose Jaw Warriors from Co-Op Place.

The Tabbies come into this one currently on a six game losing streak, with their last loss coming at the hands of the Prince Albert Raiders 3-1.

During this string of losses Medicine Hat has been outscored 20-10, and has fell to 11th place in the eastern conference.

Moose Jaw comes into this game having won their last contest at home against the Edmonton Oil Kings. The main contributor to that 7-2 win for the Warriors was defenceman Maximus Wanner, who had a 4 point night.

The Warriors currently hold a record of 10-6-0, that good enough to seat them 4th in the eastern conference.

Medicine Hat lost all 4 games they played against Moose Jaw last season, 2 of those losses were tight and needed overtime. Their will be another 4 matchups between the two this season.

Players to watch out for on the Warriors include forward Brayden Yager, who has 20 points through 16 games played this season. Yager is as well tied for the team lead in goals with 8.

Another is Jagger Firkus who has 19 points in 14 games played, and is also tied for the team lead in goals. Other skaters that deserve a mention are Atley Calvert with 15 points, and Denton Mateychuk with 14.

Possibly the biggest star for Moose Jaw this year has been their goaltender Connor Ungar. He is in the top 10 in CHL standings for goals against average (2.20), save percentage (.934) and wins (8).

This matchup marks the first leg of a home and home between the two squads, as they will play in Medicine Hat Friday evening then in Moose Jaw Saturday.

If the Tigers are able to get back in the win column Friday it would move them into 10th in the eastern conference, as well 17th in the league.

You can hear all the action from the game live on Wild 94.5 with voice of the Tigers Gino De Paoli.
