Cayden Lindstrom celebrates following goal for Canada White

Lindstrom, and Mrsic each on the scoresheet at U-17 Worlds

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The 2022 World U-17 Challenge is well underway in Langley and Delta, BC. Tigers forwards Tomas Mrsic, and Cayden Lindstrom have each gotten on the board for their teams.

Mrsic is playing for Canada Red at the tournament, and currently has one goal for his squad.

Canada Red currently sits 3rd in the preliminary standings with a current record of 2-1-0. They got there with a 4-3 loss to Canada Black, a 3-0 win over Czechia and a 4-3 overtime win over Canada white.

Lindstrom has one goal through three games played for Canada White, although his team sits a little lower in tournament standings at 6th. They currently hold a 0-2-1 record having got there by losing 3-2 to Sweden, 5-3 to Canada black and in overtime to Canada Red.

It was Lindstrom who had scored the goal to send that all Canadian matchup to extra time on Sunday.

both Mrsic, and Lindstrom have 3 games remaining in the preliminary round of the tournament, where the top four teams will move on to the Medal Round.

Mrsic plays at 7:00 p.m. Monday against the U.S., Lindstrom’s next is Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. against Czechia.
