Elections Alberta releases advance polling results for Tuesday’s by-election

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Elections Alberta has released information on the number of people who cast ballots in advance polls for Tuesday’s byelection.

Advance polls in the constituency of Brooks-Medicine Hat opened last Tuesday and wrapped up on Saturday.

There are 34,060 eligible voters in this byelection compared to 34,297 in the 2019 general election.

The number of votes cast in advance polls was down from the election. 4,231 people voted in advance polls compared to 7,538 in 2019.

That amounts to 12.4 per cent of votes cast, down from 22 per cent in the general election.
