Medicine Hat Transit changing route tracking system

Oct 25, 2022 | 12:04 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat Transit will have a new route tracking system beginning next month.

MyRide will replace the DoubleMap application on Nov. 1.

MyRide will function similarly to the old system, in that riders can input their location and instantly see the arrival time of the next scheduled bus, says the city. Riders can track the bus on its route on a computer, smartphone, or tablet. The website will also provide additional information, including disruptions to service when applicable.

“This is an exciting fall season for our transit system, with a number of changes to make riding the bus more convenient and accessible for Hatters,” said Gordon Dykstra, acting manager of Medicine Hat Transit. “The new electronic fare system, MHT Go! is launching and our new live tracker will provide better information and the foundation for additional trip planning tools in the future.”

MyRide can be accessed on the web by visiting myride.mhtransit.ca. If you have a smartphone, Dykstra encourages you to save the link to your home screen so you can access it instantly at your regular bus stop.

More information about the Medicine Hat Transit system can be found on the city website.
