Serious injuries reported in Highway 3 collision

FORT MACLEOD, AB — The Fort Macleod RCMP responded to a serious collision late Friday night.

Police say the collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 3. Multiple vehicles were involved, and police reported serious injuries.

The collision caused delays in traffic, but emergency crews were cleared from the scene shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday.

No further details were available as of Saturday morning.

Police also reported a serious collision east of Gleichen.

Strathmore RCMP responded late Friday night to the collision on Highway 901 and Highway 22X. Police say at least two vehicles were involved and reported serious injuries. The crash closed Highway 901 at Range Road 260, near Strathmore. The area was reopened by 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
