MEDICINE HAT, AB – Being a firefighter is a lot more than just putting out fires, says Jason Linton, Cypress County emergency services coordinator.

You can learn all about it at an open house hosted by Cypress County Fire Services on Saturday at the Dunmore Fire Station from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Linton was on CHAT News at Noon with Gates Guarin to talk about what firefighters do beyond fighting fires, the demonstrations planned for the open house and presentations he and other firefighters made to schools during Fire Prevention Week.
