Medicine Hat Villa holds grand opening this weekend

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Formerly known as the Medicine Hat Retirement Villa, the new downtown hotel looks to revitalize the area.

The grand opening kicked off today at noon with a ribbon cutting with the General Manager of the hotel Stephen Campbell, and Mayor Linnsie Clark.

Before cutting the ribbon the mayor said her congratulations to Campbell on behalf of the council, and shared her excitement to see the hotel come back to life.

Prior to the opening Campbell said how it’s good to have the hotel functioning downtown once again, and how they are still working on a few things but the hotel is ready for guests to stay.

Campbell spoke about some advantages of going from a retirement home to a hotel saying “The renovations we had were good for the seniors, but their also good for us now because we do have rooms for wheelchairs or any kind of disability.”
