5 Things Happening at Crockstock This Sunday

This Sunday – September 25^th – kicks off the Crockstock Music Festival at Medalta! This fun one-day-all-day event is completely free for individuals and families to attend, and Medicine Hat will see the return of the loved Medalta Market! The event will be hosted outdoors at Medalta from 10AM to 10PM. You can find their event posted on Facebook for full details and schedule of which events are happening when.

1. Medalta Market

The Medalta Market is BACK! If you’ve never been before, this is a stop and shop event featuring locally owned businesses! From homegrown foods to handmade items, the market has it all. This is a great way to see some of the creativity that the local community has to offer and an easy way to find some unique gifts! The Medalta Market will be open from 10AM – 4PM.

2. Live Music

Live music kicks off at 11AM and will be going throughout Crockstock 2022 until 8PM. Entertainment will begin with Blackfoot Medicine Speaks – an Indigenous dance performance – and ending with the headlining performance by Bif Naked to close out the event.

There is a full list of entertainment and performances, along with the times and types of music, available on the event page. There will truly be something for everyone at Crockstock 2022!

3. Food, food, FOOD!

Along with live music and shopping, Crockstock 2022 will have a TON of local food! You’ll be able to find this event lined with local food trucks to fulfill whatever your stomach’s desire is. Local food trucks include Pooty’s Poutine, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Fryer Tucks, Gypsy Girl Pizza, Sausage Shack and SO MUCH MORE! This is your chance to taste some of the best food truck cuisine the Hat has to offer.

4. FREE Activities

Not only is the Crockstock even itself free, but activities you find here are free, too! Medalta has listed some of these events, which include but are not limited to: Salsa dance lessons with Becky Klaiber, happening at 3:15PM, and facepainting for kids.

More activities are likely to be present on the day of the event, but you’ll have to attend to find out what they are!

5. Beer Gardens

For the adults, Crockstock will have beer gardens! Beginning at noon going into the night until the end of the event, you’ll be able to find the beer gardens open outside of Medalta. Three bears will be featured from Medicine Hat Brewing Company: Boomtown Lager, Sin Bin Red Ale and Burnside Blood Orange.
