Three Hills RCMP investigate fatal house fire

Two people are dead following a house fire in Trochu, AB early Sunday morning.

On Sept. 4, 2022, shortly after 4:00 a.m., Three Hills RCMP received a 911 call of a home on fire with people trapped inside.

Three Hills RCMP and Trochu Fire responded to the residence on School Road, in the town of Trochu. Mounties say active rescue efforts were made, however, two people were located deceased.

The deceased are a 68-year-old male and 64-year-old female, believed to be the only occupants of the home.

Three Hills RCMP and Trochu Fire Department continue to investigate. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
