Six-time winner leads PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada at Connaught
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The top senior golfers in the country are swinging the sticks at Connaught Golf Club this week.
The 54-hole PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada teed off Wednesday with the final round set for tomorrow.
Midway through the second day, Brendan Stasiewich, PGA of Canada communications manager, says the community and the course have lived up to expectations.
“We always love to come to communities like Medicine Hat just because there’s more of a local feel to it and we often see the community rally behind it and get some spectators which is fantastic,” he says. “Connaught’s a spectacular golf course and I think it’s a good test for these golfers and you’ll see a lot of them going under par which we love to see, and there’s a lot of talent in the field as well and they’re taking advantage of some of the par 5s out here.”
