MEDICINE HAT, AB – As our community so often does, it is rallying around a Medicine Hat family dealing with a tragic situation no one should have to go through.

Six-year-old Simon Curliss was diagnosed recently with an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer. He has started treatment at Calgary’s Alberta Children’s Hospital but due to the rarity of this cancer, particularly in children, there are many questions doctors are unable to answer.

CHAT News spoke with Simon’s uncle Jordan about his nephew who is keeping a smile on his face in unimaginable circumstances. A GoFundMe page has been started to help the Curliss family.
