RCMP investigate crash that sends one man to hospital

REDCLIFF, AB – A 41-year-old Redcliff man is in hospital with serious, life threatening injuries after his motorcycle crashed into a passenger vehicle between Suffield and Redcliff Friday evening.

At 5:17 p.m. Redcliff RCMP were called for reports of a collision on Highway 1 near Range Road 73.

RCMP believe the motorcycle struck a passenger vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital where he remains, no one was injured in the passenger vehicle.

RCMP say it is believed speed was a contributing factor in the collision and the investigation is ongoing.

Highway 1 eastbound, 14 kilometres west of Medicine Hat, was reduced to one lane for several hours Friday night, but has since reopened.
